**Bhubaneswar:** The sex video menace in Odisha does not seem to end as few more such videos are making rounds on social media allegedly of a female actor/dancer with a youth. These videos show their intimate moments captured probably by a mobile phone with the consent of both.
While it is yet to be ascertained as to who is behind the circulation of these videos in whatsapp, it is not yet clear whether this is a case of casting couch.
Meanwhile the victim girl has removed her profile picture from Facebook account and there has been no police complaint made in this regard.
Recently, a similar sex video went viral featuring the winner of a reality show winner in Odisha. Prior to it, there were several videos of another couple where the boy in the video was found murdered and burnt.
This cyber crime menace has been increasing over the days as informed by CM Naveen Patnaik to the Legislative Assembly on Monday (April 16, 2018). During the last three months (upto March 31, 2018), Odisha’s Cyber Crime Cell registered 31 objectionable viral video cases while the total such cases registered in the State since 2016 stand at 288.
Concerned over the disturbing trend, Odisha police had earlier issued advisory to all the district SPs and public to check circulation of such videos on the internet but the menace still continues.
