Bhubaneswar: In response to the severe heatwave gripping Odisha, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced the closure of all educational institutions, from Anganwadi centers to Class 12, starting April 23. The decision, aimed at protecting students’ health, applies to both government and private schools and colleges across the state.
Following a high-level review meeting today, the Chief Minister directed the closure of Anganwadi centers, pre-schools, and schools up to Class 12 due to soaring daytime temperatures that have disrupted daily life.
