**Bhubaneswar:** In a bid to attract investments and promote the State as an investment destination for European companies, a high level delegation from Odisha is touring Italy.
The delegation led by Industries Minister Ananta Das, is in Milan on the invitation of Italian Consul General for Eastern India, Damiano Francovigh.
On Monday, the Odisha delegation held several high level meetings and panel discussions with industrial experts to promote industrial development in Odisha.
A discussion on the subject of “Odisha, Industrial hub for Italian companies bilateral meetings” chaired by Alberto Cavicchiolo, President IIMH was the highlight of the day.
Odisha has recently been ranked as “Aspiring Leader” by World Bank and Invest India. A survey conducted by the two organizations has rated Odisha as the most sought-after destination for investment in India.
Several companies like Nalco, Hindalco, JS Group, Renovation, Daniel and C. Tenova, Vedanta, Foundry Ecocer, Sideridraulic and more have been invited to be a part of the ongoing discussions.
Principal Secretary, Industries, Sanjeev Chopra and IDCO Chairman, Sanjay Singh are also accompanying Minister. In the second phase, the team would visit China, South Korea and Japan in August.
