Odisha DGP Khurania, CRPF IG Archana Shivhare Visit Boudh To Review Maoist Situation

Boudh: Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) YB Khurania visited Boudh on Friday to review the law and order situation in the district.

Khurania also held a meeting with senior officials at the district police office. IG Operations Jai Narayan Pankaj, SIW DIG Kanwar Vishal Singh, South Range DIG Sarthak Sadangi, Boudh SP Nageshwar Debarkonda were present in the meeting.

Meanwhile, CRPF IG Archana Shivhare also reached Kandhamal to review the situation Mao’s review there. After suppressing the Maoists in neighbouring Chhattisgarh, CRPF IG is in Kandhamal to boost the morale of the jawans and root out the Maoists from the area. She arrived at Baliguda Mini Stadium by helicopter from Chhattisgarh.

It is worth mentioning here that a few days back Union Home Minister Amit Shah told the Chief Ministers of the Maoist-affected states to review the law and order in those areas once every month and directed the DGPs to take stock of the situation once every 15 days. The Home Minister had also directed the DGPs to spend a night in the Mao-affected districts every month.
