**Malkangiri:** The Director General of Police (DGP) of Odisha on Thursday visited the BSF camp at Badapada in the cut-off area of Makangiri district to review security arrangements and anti-Maoist operation in the area. After returning from the visit to the office of Malkangiri SP, he discussed on the strategies suppressing Maoist activities.
Speaking to the media, DGP RP Sharma informed, ”Today, I’m on my tour to Malkangiri and Koraput districts. The main focus is to review the Maoist situation. The concerned officers including local SP, DIG, operational officers, BSF officers are included in the review. We also reviewed the Maoist situation in the cut-off areas.”
The DGP also informed, “The main aim of this review is to improve operational results by making strategies, co-ordination and co-operations.”
