**Bhubaneswar:** Minister of SC/ST Development, Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare, Ramesh Chandra Majhi on Saturday informed that Odisha is the first state to distribute maximum number of land titles (pattas) under the Forest Rights Act, 2006.
The Minister informed this after a review meeting held here at the State Secretariat.
Speaking to the media, Majhi said, “Till date 4,5,897 people have been provided with individual 6,7,988 acre land titles and 5,891 with 2,86,381 acre community land titles by the Government. Land titles have been provided till date under individual rights and under community rights.”
He also informed that all the District Collectors have been instructed for demarcation of the allotted land within March 2018.
