Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for several Odisha districts, predicting thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds for the next five days.

Day 1 (June 7): Thunderstorms likely in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangapur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri.
Day 2 (June 8): Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput and Nabarangapur.
Day 3 (June 9): Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Malkangiri, and Koraput.
Day 4 (June 9): Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput.
Day 5 (June 10): Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Gajapati, Ganjam.
Additionally, hot and humid weather conditions are predicted in several coastal districts, including Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati.
