Bhubaneswar: With the model code of conduct in force, the Commissionerate of Police issued an advisory for election campaigning. No processions will be allowed where another political party is holding meeting.

The twin city police has ordered to restrict road shows on holidays and non-peak hours and away from routes that lead to hospitals, trauma centres and blood banks.

Simultaneous plying of number of vehicles (four wheelers) on road has to be limited to 10 vehicles. If the number of vehicles in a convoy is greater than 10, then the convoy has to be broken after a gap of 100 metres.

Display of animals during road shows is completely banned during road shows. Besides, children, particularly in school uniform should not take part in road shows, the advisory noted.

Only one flag of the size specified by the ECI can be used in campaign vehicles during road shows. Use of spot/focus/flashing/search lights and hooters has been completely banned on campaigning vehicles.
