Bhubaneswar: Odisha has exported 4,18,79,050 tonnes of iron ore to China over the past three years, generating a revenue of ₹2,418.85 crore, Steel and Mines Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena informed the Assembly on Thursday.
Responding to a query by BJD MLA from Choudwar-Cuttack Souvic Biswal, the Minister stated that the exports took place between the 2022-23 financial year and March 10 of the 2024-25 fiscal.
Odisha earned ₹312.05 crore from iron ore exports to China in 2022-23, while the amount surged to ₹1,086.96 crore in 2023-24.
For the current financial year (2024-25), the state has already recorded ₹1,019.80 crore in revenue from iron ore exports to China as of March 10, Jena added.
