Odisha Elections 2024: Polling For Phase I Elections, Halts At Various Polling Booths Over EVM Glitches

Bhubaneswar: Amidst the polling for the Phase I elections in Odisha, where voters are going to cast their votes for 4 Lok Sabha constituencies which include Berhampur, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, and Koraput and 28 Assembly seats. 

The voting process has been stalled in multiple polling booths in the State, due to technical glitches in the Electronic Voting Machines (EVM).

As per the sources, the polling process has stalled in Booth No. 66 at Kumutiguda, Malkangiri district; Booth No. 101 at Nuapada; as well as in Booth Number 72 and 89 at Podapali & Loharapali in Khariar.

The EVM glitches have also halted voting in Booth No. 160 & 194 in Jeypore, and Booth Numbers 59 and 60 in Borigumma, Koraput district.

Polling at Booth No. 207 in Rayagada has also been paused due to technical defects in the EVMs.
