Odisha: Engine Trial Run Conducted On Haridaspur-Kendrapara Rail Line

Jajpur: Trial run of train services was conducted on the much awaited Haridaspur-Kendrapara route on Saturday. A pilot engine was run on the tracks that left Haridaspur station at 9 am.

The engine left for Kendrapara’s Bajapur station in presence of several railway officials who were present in the spot to check all the minute details. The trial run was conducted to test the new rail line and overhead electric connectivity.

After a successful run, it is possible that the 82-km long Haridaspur-Paradip line will likely be introduced for the public very soon. This test run has brought hope in minds of Kendrapara people, who have longed for rail connectivity in their district for decades.
