Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday increased the stipend of House Surgeons in Government Medical Colleges.
A notification issued by the Health & Family Welfare Department said, “On careful consideration of the grievances of the House Surgeons for an increase in their stipend, the Government have been pleased for implementation of a dynamic stipend in favour of House Surgeons @ 50% of the current remuneration paid to Assistant Surgeons under OMHS cadre on their entry into Govt. Service + DA as admissible”.
The enhancement will come into force with immediate effect, the notification added.
The notification further said that the decision has been concurred in by the Finance Department.
