Cuttack/Dhenkanal: The evaluation of answer sheets of the annual High School Certificate Examination (Matric) began today amid strict adherence to the social distancing guidelines mandated by the State Government and the Orissa High Court.
The evaluation of answer sheets of four subjects- English, Mathematics, History and Geography began, informed Dhenkanal DEO Nivedita Pani. Another four papers will be corrected in the next phase.
She added that all mentioned COVID-19 guidelines, SOPs are being followed across all schools in the district. “All schools were sanitised yesterday itself. Only 10-12 evaluators are being allowed per room who are strictly maintaining mandated social distance. Before entering the school premises, they are sanitised and the wearing of a mask is mandatory.”
Pani said that as per guidelines, evaluators staying within 10 km radius of an evaluation centre are allowed. While they will not be provided with any accommodation or allowance for it, the evaluators will be given a conveyance allowance. Those staying within an eight km radius will be given Rs 50/per day and Rs 90/per day if staying within 8-10 km radius.
The results are expected to be published within 45 days, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Dash had announced yesterday.
