Bhubaneswar: Odisha has exported software worth Rs 58,815.61 crore in the last three decades (1993-94 to 2023-24), informed Electronics & Information Technology Minister Mukesh Mahaling in the Odisha Assembly today.
In a written reply to a query from BJD MLA from Rajnagar Dhruba Charan Sahoo, Mahaling said that after the establishment of STPI in 1991 export of software from the state began in 1993-94.
From 1993-94 to 2023-24 software exports from the state stood at Rs 58,815.61 crore, Mahaling added.
He said Odisha is among the 10 top IT exporters in the country.
In the current financial year, there are proposals for software exports worth Rs 900 crore
