Odisha Extends Functioning Period Of Existing Covid-19 Facilities Till Dec 31

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government today extended the functioning period of existing Covid-19 facilities till December 31, 2020.

A circular addressed to all the Collectors and District Magistrates by State Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Additional Chief Secretary P.K. Mohapatra, has asked to take appropriate action accordingly.

The circular mentioned, “After careful consideration of the recommendation of the Technical Committee, Government have been pleased to extend the functioning of the Covid-19 facilities who have signed MoU with Government and/or Funding Agencies for another period of three months with effect from 1.10.2020 up to 31.12.2020.”

“Further to rationalize the use of general beds, the number of general beds approved in the facilities which have shown less than 50% occupancy in the last two weeks, shall be reduced by 50% of approved capacity. The approved capacity in the intensive care units (ICUs) and other facilities like Maternity OT, Labour Room, Dialysis etc, shall remain unaltered,” instructed the H&FW Department’s circular.
