Cuttack: Responding to the call of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Odisha Fire Service personnel led by Director General Satyajit Mohanty, observed a silent prayer for the COVID warriors who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
Mohanty said, “The Odisha Fire Service personnel honoured and commemorated the supreme sacrifice of our COVID warriors. A silent prayer was observed in their memory followed by an oath-taking programme.” The events were organised at 6 pm on Wednesday at the Fire Service Directorate in Cuttack.
All staff of the Fire Service Directorate participated in the events. On this occasion, Mohanty lauded the humane and noble deeds of the Fire Service personnel who donated plasma for the treatment of critical patients. He emphasised on safety measures at workplace and at home and to do our best to beat COVID-19.
All the field units including Fire Stations and Training Institutes across the State have also observed one-minute silence followed by oath on the occasion.
