Bhubaneswar: As the four major rivers of Odisha-Mahanadi, Brahmani, Baitarini, Subarnarekha and their distributaries continue to remain in spate and over four lakh people affected, keeping with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s direction senior officers are being rushed to oversee flood management in the seven badly affected districts.
As per the details of the deployment of senior officers for the aforementioned purpose shared by Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy on his official Twitter handle, Hemant Sharma has been assigned to Kendrapada district, D K Singh to Cuttack, Vishal Dev to Balasore, B P Sethi to Bhadrak, V V Yadav to Jajpur, Satyabrata Sahu to Jagatsinghpur, and Revenue Divisional Commissioner (Central Division) Anil Kumar Samal to Puri.
The Chief Secretary has said that these officers have been asked to proceed to their assigned destinations as soon as possible.
