Bhubaneswar: Taking a tough stance against delays in LPG cylinder delivery, the State government today directed distributors and dealers to ensure timely refills within 48 hours of booking.
Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra issued the warning at a meeting with petrol, diesel, and LPG dealers in Bhubaneswar. The Minister emphasized that consumers should not be kept waiting for a long time.
The government’s move comes amid growing concerns over the inconvenience faced by consumers due to delays in the delivery of cooking gas cylinders. The Minister stressed that dealers must prioritize prompt service delivery, failing which strict action will be taken.
This directive is a significant step towards ensuring that consumers receive essential services efficiently and effectively. The government’s proactive approach is expected to bring relief to households relying on LPG cylinders for cooking purposes.
