Odisha: Four Including Minor Killed In Separate Road Accidents

Nayagarh/ Dharmagarh / Keonjhar: Four, including a minor, were killed in separate road accidents in Kalahandi, Nayagarh and Keonjhar districts.

A six-year-old was killed after being allegedly hit by truck at Subalaya Chaka in Daspalla area of Nayagarh district. As per reports, today morning the Class II student was crossing the road when a speeding truck mowed him down. The driver was nabbed as he was trying to flee and handed over to the police.

In Kalahandi, one Belasen Nayak succumbed to severe head injuries he received when his motorcycle had a head-on collision with a truck. Police retrieved the body and sent it for autopsy.

Two people were killed and another sustained grievous injuries near Nenkaghara under Keonjhar police limits as a truck hit a pick-up van. As per reports two vegetable pickup vans plying from Jaipur to Ranchi were down and were getting repaired. At wee hours of today morning, a truck rammed into the vans killing two on the spot and critically injuring another. The injured was shifted to Keonjhar DHH and the police have initiated a probe.
