Bhubaneswar: In its second phase of Covid-19 vaccination drive, Odisha Government has decided to start inoculating all its frontline workers from tomorrow (February 6).
This was informed today by State Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) ACS Pradipta Mohapatra as a circular has been issued to all Collectors, Municipal Commissioners, CDM & PHOs.
The circular issued by the H&FW Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) stated, “As per the decision of the Steering Committee meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, the vaccination of frontline workers has been slated to start from February 6.”
The circular has underlined, “In order to build confidence amongst the frontline workers that the vaccine is safe and has no side effects, it has been decided that all senior officers shall take the vaccine on 6th February, like the DGP and all their senior officers, and in the district, all the Collectors and SPs should take the vaccine on 6th February itself and tweet the same with their photo for awareness and confidence amongst others so that the vaccination programme would get the desired momentum.”
