Ahead of the President’s visit, the Odisha Government on Wednesday conducted two high-level preparatory meetings to review the arrangements.

The first meeting, held at Lok Seva Bhawan under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, reviewed logistics and security measures related to the President’s transit through Jharsuguda. The State Home Department presented a detailed briefing on the President’s itinerary and the preparedness at the district level.

From there, she will travel by Air Force helicopter to Ambikapur in Chhattisgarh to attend the Jan Jatiya Gaurav Divas celebration organised by the Chhattisgarh Government. After the event, she will return via Jharsuguda and proceed to Andhra Pradesh by 1:45 PM.

During the meeting, discussions were held with the Jharsuguda District Collector and Superintendent of Police regarding the President’s landing, emergency arrangements for temporary stay, security protocols, fire safety measures, and medical facilities.

A separate meeting was held later in the day at the Odisha Legislative Assembly under the chairmanship of Speaker Surama Padhy to review preparations for the President’s Odisha visit on November 27.

According to the plan, President Murmu will depart from New Delhi at 11:50 AM and arrive at Bhubaneswar Airport by 2:00 PM. She will proceed to Raj Bhavan, where she is scheduled to inaugurate the newly constructed Kalinga Guest House at 4:00 PM. Thereafter, she will visit the Odisha Legislative Assembly at 4:20 PM and address the Members of the Assembly from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

In the evening, she will attend a dinner hosted in her honour by the Governor at Raj Bhavan. On November 28, the President will leave Bhubaneswar for Lucknow at 9:35 AM.

The meeting discussed comprehensive arrangements for the President’s visit, including security coordination, medical support at Raj Bhavan, uninterrupted power and water supply, media and pass systems, and traffic management for the cavalcade.

Among those present were Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg and Additional Chief Secretary, Home Satyabrata Sahu, Director General of Police Y.B. Khurania, Fire Services DG Sudhanshu Sarangi, Principal Secretaries of various departments, the Governor’s Secretary, the Assembly Secretary, the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner, and the Khordha District Collector.
