Bhubaneswar: State Administration has been warmed up to welcome President Draupadi Murmu for her two days visit to Odisha. A high level meeting to review the arrangements was chaired by Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra here today.
Various preparatory works relating to the President’s visit were chalked out and Mahapatra directed concerned departments to complete the preparations well before the scheduled time. Senior officers were given the charges of supervision and completion. He also directed concerned departments to ensure error free arrangements on all fronts for smooth management of different programmes slated to be graced by the President.
Presenting the draft tour programme of the President, Special Secretary Home Santosh Bala said that so far 3 public programmes have been slated for visit. Her Excellency would arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar on 10th February around noon and would proceed to Utkal Mandap, Bhubaneswar to attend the foundation day of Jnanaprabha Mission as chief Guest.
After Lunch, she will attend as Chief Guest at 2nd Convocation of Rama Devi Women’s University. She would make his night halt at Raj Bhawan. On the next day morning, her Excellency would visit Lingaraj Temple and then proceed towards Cuttack to inaugurate 2nd Indian Rice Congress at ICAR. Then she will leave for Delhi from Bhubaneswar Airport on same day.
The issues relating to air craft, guard of honor, security arrangements, accommodation, carcade and transport arrangements, fire fighting, medical and health care for the VVIP party, uninterrupted power and water supply, hot line connectivity, barricading, construction of dais, media management etc were discussed in the meeting.
Mahapatra directed concerned departments to stay alert and keep strict vigil over the entire process meticulously so as to make the visit of Her Excellency free of any hitches and omissions.
The authorities of the concerned institutions were advised to have regular liaison with home and police department regarding dais plan, regulation of crowd and gathering in meeting places. Notably, RT-PCR test for staff deployed on duty, dignitaries and appointees before 72 hours prior to the event and use of face mask are mandatory during visit of Her Excellency.
Additional Chief Secretary Deoranjan Kumar Singh along with Principal Secretaries, Secretaries and Senior officers from Home, Police, Intelligence and concerned departments participated in the discussion.
