**Gajapati:** A girl student allegedly died and five others were taken ill after consuming dinner in a residential school in S Maringi village under Garabandha police limits here late last night.
The deceased has been identified as Tuni Rohit, who was a Class 2 student. She is a native of R.Udaygiri block.
She was taken ill after eating dinner in residential school on Saturday night. Many also alleged that hostel authorities were not present when the girl was fell ill. She succumbed to her poor health later in the night.
Five other girls were also taken ill after Tuni. Further probe into the matter is currently underway.
