**Bhubaneswar:** Odisha Government has dispatched nine teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) for Kerala which is facing one of the worst natural disasters.
The teams comprising 132 personnel from the Cuttack-based station of NDRF have boarded a special flight for Calicut today. They will be deployed in Mallapuram district in rescue and assistance work.
The Kerela Government had requested the Odisha Government for assistance in relief and rescue operations. The teams are being led by GS Patel, CK Sha and SND Mohapatra of the 3rd Battalion of NDRF.
The Odisha Government has opened two helpline numbers – 1070 (Toll Free) and 0647 – 2534177 for assistance of people from Odisha who are trapped in Kerela. The Special Relief Commissioner will be coordinating the rescue of the vicitms.
