Bhubaneswar: In a significant move to ease land sale and purchase, the Odisha government has opened sub-registry offices in 44 tehsil offices across 13 districts. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said that this initiative aims to bring revenue administration closer to citizens and provide better services.

The sub-registry offices will facilitate land registration and sale, reducing the need for people to travel to distant offices. The government plans to extend this service to the remaining tehsils by December next year. Additionally, an e-registration mobile app has been launched, allowing citizens to book slots online and avail services from the comfort of their homes.

The initiative aims to ensure transparency in administrative work, improve service quality, and increase coordination between the administration and the public. The government expects that the increased outreach of services will lead to more registration activities and improved revenue collection.
