Bhubaneswar: In preparation for the upcoming Census 2027, the Revenue and Disaster Management department has issued a notification appointing all District Collectors and Commissioners of Municipal Corporations as Principal Census Officers in their respective districts and corporations.
As per the notification, these officers will be responsible for overseeing the census operations in their jurisdictions. The appointment is made under Rule 3 of the Census Rules 1990, and the officers will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the census exercise.
