Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has asked Collectors of all districts, which witnessed heavy rainfall and flood, to submit a complete damage assessment report at the earliest.
Additional Chief Secretary Pradeep Jena posted the same on his Twitter handle. He mentioned that the report has to be as per the SDRF guidelines/ relief code and asked the Collectors to extend assistance to eligible cases as per norms.

The assessment will include damage to house and crops. For deaths related to rains and floods, Jena’s tweet said that all eligible cases of death due to wall collapse and drowning have to be promptly enquired as per guidance. Additionally, if any police investigation is done then the report has to be submitted online to the Special Relief Commissioner for consideration of exgratia as early as possible.
