Bhubaneswar: In a move to ensure the effective implementation of various government programs, the Odisha government has assigned 30 senior IAS officers to conduct periodic visits to districts.
Development Commissioner Anu Garg in a letter issued on Tuesday directed Secretaries and senior officials to schedule their district visits until March 2025. As per the directive, each officer will tour their allotted district for at least two days every two months, including an overnight stay at the district or sub-divisional headquarters.
The officers have been specifically instructed to focus on inaccessible and tribal-dominated areas to assess on-ground implementation challenges and improve administrative outreach.
This initiative aims to enhance governance, ensure efficient delivery of government schemes, and address local concerns effectively.
