Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Wednesday clarified that there is no deadline for the registration process of the Subhadra Yojana, amidst the rush at post offices and other centres to update Aadhaar cards for the scheme.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida inaugurated a call center for the Subhadra Yojana, which has received over 1.50 lakh calls seeking clarification. The call centre will address queries and confusion among people. 180 personnel will be deployed in three shifts, she added.
Parida clarified that applicants only need to provide their Aadhaar number in the application form and not a physical copy. She assured that financial assistance will be provided to all eligible beneficiaries, regardless of when they complete the registration process.
Common Service Centre (CSC) head Dilip Dash stated that the registration portal will open today, but applicants cannot apply online from home. He urged people not to crowd Jana Seva Kendras unnecessarily, as forms are available with Anganwadi workers and Jana Seva Kendras.
The government has reassured that the registration process will continue until the last eligible beneficiary is included and that Aadhaar cards will be verified and returned to applicants without taking a copy.
