Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has approved 17 investment proposals worth Rs 3,878.86 crore, expected to generate 10,584 new employment opportunities across 11 districts. These proposals were cleared during a State Level Single Window Clearance Authority meeting led by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja.
The approved projects span various sectors, including plastics, textiles, electronics, food processing, renewable energy, tourism, logistics, and chemicals. In the plastic sector, six major proposals were approved, including Greenwave Circularity Private Limited’s Rs 650.23 crore facility in Khurda to manufacture recycled flakes and pellets, generating 600 jobs.
Other significant investments include MAS India Clothing Private Limited’s textile processing mill in Khurda with an investment of Rs 885 crore, generating 1,700 jobs, and Bhubaneswar Logipark Private Limited’s logistics park in Khurda with an investment of Rs 218.80 crore, expected to create 2,700 jobs.
Additionally, Heraeus Technologies India Private Limited will set up an advanced manufacturing unit for metallurgical sensors in Khurda with an investment of Rs 188.46 crore, generating 400 jobs, while Addsoft Technologies Private Limited will establish a facility for LED TVs and IoT devices in Cuttack with an investment of Rs 112 crore, creating 330 employment opportunities.
The steel sector also received a significant boost with Samaleshwari Ferrometals Private Limited planning to expand its sponge iron plant into a 0.5 MTPA integrated steel plant in Sambalpur with an investment of Rs 400 crore, expected to create 350 employment opportunities.
