Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to constitute a high-level committee to review the demands of teachers, lecturers, and staff of various educational institutions in the state.

The committee, chaired by retired IAS officer Ashok Kumar Tripathy, will submit its report within six months. It was announced by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi in the State Assembly.

The move comes after various teachers’ and staff associations presented their demands to the government, which were discussed at different forums. The committee will study the demands and submit its recommendations to the state government.

The committee’s formation aims to address the concerns of teachers, lecturers, and staff, and provide a framework for resolving their long-pending issues.
