Odisha Govt Declares Assistance To The Family Of People Who Succumb To COVID-19

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced that widows and orphan children of Covid affected families will be covered under the Madhubabu pension scheme.

The affected children will also get free education facilities, the CM said at an All-Party meeting held over video-conferencing today.

Naveen appealed to the MLAs to educate the public on Covid appropriate behaviour.

“The Government will allow expenditure from MLALADS up to Rs 50 lakhs for assisting in activities related to covid management, including procurement of masks from Mission Shakti groups to provide for poor people,” the CM announced.

The Chief Minister said, “The Government is making all out efforts to save precious lives and I hope to get the cooperation of the Hon’ble MLAs in this war against Covid. As public representatives your contact with people is maximum. I would request each one of you to personally take care of yourselves and your families.”
