Bhubaneswar: The State government has removed the Chairperson of the Odisha State Child Rights Protection Commission (OSCPCR), Mandakini Kar, and five other members, including Sasmita Nanda, Ruby Vishal, Susri Jalina Priyadarshini, Chhabi Mahali, and Anita Behera.
A show cause notice was issued to the Chairperson and members on November 16, 2024, based on allegations made against them. Following the notice, Kar and other members appealed to the High Court, which ultimately dismissed their petition after reviewing the facts.
Subsequently, the Women and Child Development Department issued an order dismissing all six members.
