Autopsy Allowance

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has doubled the autopsy allowance for medical officers of the Odisha Medical Health Service (OMHS) cadre.

The decision, announced through an official communication and shared on the social media platform X, raises the allowance from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000 per case.

The Health and Family Welfare Department, with the approval of the Finance Department, will implement the revised allowance for all eligible OMHS medical officers conducting post-mortem examinations across the state.

To ensure transparency and accountability, medical officers must provide the relevant police case number when submitting claims for the enhanced allowance.
