Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Saturday effected a major reshuffle in the level IAS cadre of the State.
According to a notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievances Department on Saturday, Chithra Arumugam, Special Secretary P & C Department with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Science & Technology Department and Principal Secretary, Labour & ESI Department has been appointed as Principal SecretaryLabour & ESI Department. She is allowed to remain in additional charge of Principal Secretary, Science & Technology Department.
Yamini Sarangi, State Project Director, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan with additional charge of Special Secretary, Finance Department and Commissioner, Commercial Taxes & GST has been appointed as Commissioner, Commercial Taxes & GST. She is allowed to remain in additional charge of Special Secretary, Finance Department. The post of Commissioner, Commercial Taxes & GST is declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Special Secretary provided in the IAS Cadre of the State.
Sudhansu Mohan Samal, Additional Secretary, Water Resources Department has been appointed as Managing Director, Odisha Mining Corporation Limited.
The post of Managing Director, Odisha Mining Corporation Limited is declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Additional Secretary provided in the IAS Cadre of the State.
The additional appointment of Balwant Singh as Managing Director, Odisha Mining Corporation Limited shall stand terminated from the date Samal takes over.
Indramani Tripathy, Director, ST with additional charge of Additional Secretary, ST & SC Development, M&BCW Department and Director, SC&STRTI has been appointed as Labour Commissioner, Odisha.

Deepankar Mohapatra, CEO, Hockey Promotion Council, Odisha has been appointed as Director, Sports. He has been allowed to remain in additional charge of CEO, Hockey Promotion Council, Odisha.
