Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced an extension of the Aadhaar-based e-KYC process for beneficiaries under the National and State Food Security Schemes till December 31, 2025.
According to an official release from the Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department, the e-KYC verification is being carried out across 11,827 Fair Price Shops, 314 Block Offices, and 64 Urban Local Body Offices, where Ration Card Management Centres are currently operational.
The department clarified that no eligible beneficiary will be denied food security benefits due to the non-completion of the e-KYC process. Those who are yet to complete verification are continuing to receive their monthly Public Distribution System (PDS) commodities as usual.
Beneficiaries who have not completed the e-KYC process for any reason can visit their nearest Fair Price Shop or Ration Card Management Centre to complete the Aadhaar-linked verification before the December 31, 2025 deadline.
The government’s decision aims to ensure transparency and accuracy in the distribution of subsidized food grains while safeguarding the rights of all eligible beneficiaries during the ongoing verification process.
