Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has extended the deadline for updating e-KYC for ration card beneficiaries until February 15, announced Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra on Thursday.
Addressing the media, Minister Patra explained that the initial deadline was set for January 31. However, since many beneficiaries have not yet updated their e-KYC details, the government has decided to extend the deadline.
“We have decided to extend the deadline to February 15 for updating e-KYC details,” the Minister stated.
He further shared that approximately 39 lakh beneficiaries in the state have yet to complete their e-KYC. Meanwhile, a total of 2.95 crore individuals in Odisha, along with 1.32 lakh people residing outside the state, have successfully updated their e-KYC details.
The government urges all beneficiaries to complete their e-KYC updates by the extended deadline to ensure continued access to benefits under the Public Distribution System.
