Odisha Govt Hikes Monthly Remuneration Of Art and Sports Teachers

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday announced a hike in the monthly remuneration of temporary art and sports teachers of Upper Primary Schools.

Going by the CM’s announcement, the salary of art and sports teachers has been increased from Rs 7,000 to Rs 10,000. Besides, they will be given a salary for 12 months instead of 10 months.

Besides, the government clarified that female art and sports teachers are also entitled to maternity leave like other government employees.

This move will benefit as many as 4,605 arts teachers across the state.

It is worth noting that the art and sports teachers had drawn the attention of the Chairman of 5T and Nabin Odisha VK Pandian regarding their problems.
