Odisha Govt Hikes Remuneration Of Cook-cum-Helpers Under PM Poshan Yojana

Bhubaneswar: Good news for more than one lakh Cook-cum-Helpers working under PM Poshan Yojana (mid-day meal).

According to an official press release, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has decided to increase their monthly remuneration.

In view of the work, skill and hard work of the Cook-cum-Helpers the Chief Minister has increased their monthly remuneration from Rs 2000 to Rs 3000. This will benefit 1,12,090 Cook-cum-Helpers employed in the state under PM Poshan Yojana (mid-day meal). For this, the state government will spend an additional Rs 112.09 crore per year.

These Cook-cum-Helpers are serving cooked food to 42.45 lakh students in 50,618 primary and upper primary schools of the state from class I to class VIII.
