Bhubaneswar: In a significant move to enhance voter turnout and convenience, the Odisha government on Wednesday launched ‘Mo Booth Aap’.
The App was officially launched by State Chief Electoral Officer Nikunj Dhal with an aim to empower voters with accessible and relevant information.
Developed by the Khurda district administration, the Mo Booth App will provide voters with information about the queue at polling centres. This would help voters to go and vote at their convenience.
Also, the Mo Booth App will provide voters with essential information such as the name and location of their designated polling stations.
Through this App, the Block Level Officer (BLO) can update the number of voters in the queue and publish the information for voters’ convenience.
Through this App, Sector Officers can update actual poll status and address important issues such as law and order concerns, as well as any malfunctions related to Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). Sector Officers can also update the status of polling completion and polling party departure from the booth.
