Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has notified that admissions to two-year B.Ed., M.Ed., and B.H.Ed. courses for the academic session 2026–27 will be conducted through an entrance examination, the Higher Education Department said.

According to the official notification, eligible candidates can apply online through the SAMS portal by filling out the Common Application Form (CAF) from March 23 to April 6, 2026. The move aims to streamline the admission process and ensure a transparent, merit-based selection of candidates for teacher education programmes across the state.

Officials said that all application data will be forwarded to the State Selection Board (SSB) on April 13 for the conduct of the entrance examination. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards from May 27 onwards.

As per the schedule, the entrance examination for the B.Ed. course will be held on May 31, while the examinations for M.Ed. and B.H.Ed. courses are scheduled for June 3, 2026.

The department has advised aspirants to carefully fill out the application form within the stipulated timeline and regularly check the SAMS portal for updates related to the examination and admission process.
