Bhubaneswar: In four entertaining and yet educating animated videos that have been released, the Government of Odisha has attempted in creating awareness on COVID-19. The videos also celebrate several Corona Warriors who are at the forefront of this war against the deadly virus.
The State Government has implemented a multi-sectoral and coordinated strategy for tackling COVID-19. An important element of this approach has been enhancing awareness in the community on measures to protect against COVID-19 and its impact.
The mentioned videos focus on maintaining health, nutrition and harmony in such times and were developed in collaboration with the World Food Programme (WFP). The videos celebrate the COVID-19 Warriors such as doctors, nurses, sanitation workers, frontline workers and police personnel among others who are working tirelessly to ensure our safety during the crisis.
The animated videos were launched by Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Odisha Government PK Mohapatra on May 27. The virtual launch was also attended by Bishow Parajuli, Country Director, UNWFP, who thanked the State Government for supporting WFP. The organisation has been supporting the efforts of the Government of Odisha to address food and nutrition security across several departments and food-based safety nets over the past several decades.
