Bhubaneswar: In another significant step towards attracting and retaining quality Ayurvedic doctors in the delivery of health services, the State government restructured the Odisha Ayurvedic Medical Service (OAMS) cadre with corresponding pay revision in the cadre. As per the revised structure, the total cadre strength was enhanced to 728 with 462 posts at the base level.
Secretary Health and Family Welfare Shalini Pandit in a notification to this effect mentioned that there would be 228 posts at the first promotional hierarchy in the pay matrix of level-12 under ORSP Rules.
There would be 35 posts at the 2nd promotional hierarchy in the pay matrix of Level-12 under ORSP Rules. The number of Deputy Directors in the pay level-13 would be enhanced to 2.
The forth promotional hierarchy in the cadre would be the post of Joint Director in the pay level – 14.
The revised cadre would include: Joint director – 01 ; Deputy director – 02 ; DAMO / Dy. Superintendent /CMO – 35 ; Sr. AMO – 228; and, AMO-462. The officers in OAMS cadre have welcomed this resolution, and thanked State Government for the move.
