Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha has asked all departments, heads of departments and district collectors to circulate a questionnaire issued by the Eighth Central Pay Commission (8th CPC) and encourage stakeholders to submit their views on pay structure, allowances, pensions and service conditions.
In a communication issued by the state’s Finance Department, Government of Odisha on Monday (March 9), authorities said the move follows a request from the Government of India after the constitution of the 8th CPC to review the existing compensation framework of Central government employees.
According to the official letter, the commission has prepared a detailed questionnaire covering key issues such as pay structure, allowances, pension provisions, performance incentives and other service conditions. The questionnaire has been made available on the commission’s portal and on the MyGov platform for submission of responses.
The Union government has requested state governments to widely disseminate the questionnaire so that governments, institutions and individuals can share their inputs with the commission.
In line with this request, the Odisha Finance Department has directed administrative departments, heads of departments and district collectors to circulate the questionnaire among subordinate offices, autonomous bodies and field formations under their administrative control. Officials have also been asked to encourage employees and other stakeholders to submit their views directly on the designated portal.
Departments may also compile and send their consolidated suggestions, if any, to the Finance Department for onward submission to the commission, the letter stated, urging authorities to accord the matter due priority.
