Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will bear the education cost of Rayagada youth Krushna Chandra Ataka, who has cracked the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG-2023, qualifying him for studying MBBS.
Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian through an Instagram post has informed that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has ordered the government to bear the cost of Ataka’s expenses in medical college.
Pandian met Krushna Chandra and informed him about the decision of the Chief Minister. Henceforth, all the educational expenses will be borne by the government.
The 5T Secretary congratulated him for his success and appreciated his hard work. In his Instagram post, Pandian wrote “All the very best Krushna. We are all proud of you and you are an inspiration to all of us. CM Naveen Patnaik has ordered the government to bear the cost of his expenses in medical college.”
Ataka from Rayagada, a youth of 33 years, is married with two kids and facing acute poverty, cleared NEET examinations and got admission in Government Medical College.
He dreamt of becoming a doctor and serving the society. He completed his Plus Two way back in 2008 and started working in odd jobs and as a daily wager but kept his dream alive.
In 2021, he purchased NCERT books and started preparing for the NEET examinations and cleared it this year. He attributes his success to dedicated hard work and strong determination.
