Bhubaneswar: The State Government has decided to bear the treatment cost of the FM College girl who is fighting for her life at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar after attempting to immolate herself due to alleged misbehaviour by her department head.
The Higher Education department has written to the AIIMS authorities, requesting all necessary treatment for the victim and accommodation for her family members, with the State government covering all costs. In the letter, the department stated that an unfortunate incident occurred at F.M. (Auto) College, Balasore, on July 12, 2024, where the victim attempted self-immolation.
The government has decided to bear all treatment costs until the victim’s recovery and also cover the accommodation costs of her family members, who are staying in a dharmashala near AIIMS Bhubaneswar. The government has requested the hospital authorities to attend to the matter with top priority and provide all necessary treatment to the victim.
