Bhubaneswar: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Tuesday announced that the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the proposed Subhadra Yojana, a woman-centric scheme, will be released soon. However, the SOP will be finalized after considering feedback from the public, intellectuals, and other stakeholders.
Parida emphasized that the Subhadra Yojana is a historic initiative aimed at empowering women and transforming their lives. Parida urged people not to speculate about the scheme until the SOP is released, assuring that the application process will be straightforward and hassle-free.
Addressing the media, the Deputy CM said, “The Subhadra Yojana is a scheme designed to empower women. The scheme aims to make 50% of women economically self-sufficient by providing them with financial assistance. The government has prepared a roadmap for the scheme and is seeking feedback from various stakeholders to make it more effective and error-free. The goal is to benefit as many women as possible through this scheme. The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is ready, but the government is seeking suggestions from people to make it more efficient.”
“The government has directed collectors to collect feedback from all stakeholders by August 14. Once we receive the feedback, we will discuss its feasibility and make necessary modifications to the SOP”, Parida added.
