Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to initiate the admission process for postgraduate and two-year B.Ed, M.Ed and B.Hd courses for the academic year 2025-26. Furthermore, the state government has also approved starting the admission process for undergraduate courses early.
The state government’s higher education department made this decision with the students’ future and larger interests in mind. The decision aims to benefit students by ensuring the timely commencement of courses, examinations, and declaration of results.
For admission to programmes, the Common Application Form (CAF) filling process will begin from April 16, 2025 for applicants, according to a release issued by the Higher Education Department.
The admission process for undergraduate courses for the academic year 2025-26 will be based on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
According to this policy, students will be able to choose from various course combinations while filling out the Common Application Form (CAF) through the SAMS platform. The options include Single Major with Two Minors, Double Majors and Three Minors.
The undergraduate programme for the academic year 2025-26 will commence by July 10, 2025. This decision will enable the timely commencement of classes, exams, and declaration of results, ultimately benefiting students.
