Bhubaneswar: As many as 40 high schools will be upgraded to higher secondary level in the State from the next academic year-2023-24.
“It is the direction of the Chief Minister that children get an opportunity to study. Where colleges are located at a distance we have decided to upgrade these high schools,” informed School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Das today.
Das said that keeping in mind the requirement 40 high schools will be upgraded in the first phase.
“We are going to upgrade 40 schools in the first phase. Beginning next academic year class XI will be opened in these schools,” he added.
The Minister further informed that under the direction of the Chief Minister the process for recruitment of teachers has already started.
