Bhubaneswar: The State Government has decided to adopt the Scheme for Re-Deployment of Superannuated Teachers of AFMS (SRESTA), developed by the Armed Forces Medical Services and NITI Aayog.
In a letter to Union Health Secretary, Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Health Department, Odisha, Shalini Pandit apprised about the State Government’s decision on SRESTA scheme.
The redeployment will be done in all Government Medical Colleges and Hospitals in order to improve the quality of medical education and health care services, apart from fulfilling the NMC (National Medical Commission) requirements, the letter stated.
The Director of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Odisha has been declared as the Nodal Officer for implementation of the scheme.
